About Maryssa Iacobelli
Maryssa Iacobelli is a PhD student at the University of Alberta, studying Microbiology and Biotechnology. In addition to her studies, she is also the Alberta Regional Director for Nucleate Canada, where she helps support trainee-led bioinnovation in post-secondary institutions. Before diving into her current work, she gained industry experience at a biotechnology startup in Vancouver. Passionate about science and innovation, Maryssa enjoys finding ways to connect research with real-world applications and is particularly interested in making scientific knowledge more accessible through effective communication.
