Will Pate is the beloved co-host of commandN, part time community ambassador for Flock, co-founder of Raincity Studios and was recently recruited by the TorCamp community to return to Toronto. His latest project has him trying to figure out how to use social software to prevent and manage infectious disease outbreaks in Africa. In his copious spare time between flights he takes photos and works on other cool projects that are still baking until golden brown. He sleeps on Sundays and wants to be your friend.
Steve Herrmann is Editor of BBC News Interactive, responsible for the editorial content of the BBC News website, the Ceefax teletext service and the BBC’s on-demand news services including news on mobile phones, interactive TV, broadband video and email. Steve joined the BBC News website in 1997 just after it launched, initially as a newsdesk editor. He subsequently helped develop the specials and in-depth areas of the site and was then News Interactive’s World Editor for five years before being appointed Editor at the start of 2006. He has worked in a variety of journalistic roles, including periods in the Balkans and East Africa, since beginning his BBC career at BBC Monitoring in 1985.
