mesh Keynote News: Jason Calacanis and Jessica Jackley Flannery

By mesh news

With mesh only three months away, we’re excited to announce the first two of our four keynote speakers.

We’re thrilled to have well-known entrepreneur and Mahalo founder and CEO Jason Calacanis as our business keynote. Calacanis has been an active, influential and high-profile player within the online world, and we’re really looking forward to hearing his thoughts on the entrepreneurial, online and venture capital landscape.

We’re also very excited having Jessica Jackley Flannery as our society keynote. Jackley Flannery is co-founder – along with her husband, Matt, – of Kiva, the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending online service that lets individuals lend directly to entrepreneurs in the developing world.

We’re honored that Calacanis and Jackley Flannery are coming to mesh. They are extremely well-regarded thought-leaders that will help set the tone for another great conference.

Stay tuned for more exciting mesh news in the weeks to come.

More: You can register now for mesh, which is happening April 7/8 in Toronto, and meshU, which takes place April 6.

By mesh news

We are pleased to announce that meshU tickets go on sale today.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this event, meshU is a one day conference for professionals who build online projects that we debuted and sold out last year.  The event features top designers and developers who share their wisdom and perspective on: design, development and management for  web related projects.
Whether you are a freelancer, work at an agency, or are part of a start up, meshU brings extraordinary talent to Toronto for you to learn from.  Last year’s speakers included the likes of Daniel Burka (the creative director of Digg), Kevin Hale (Wufoo) and Avi Bryant (Dabble DB) – here is a complete list of speakers from last year’s event.

If you are looking for inspiration or guidance with a web related project you are working on, or you are looking to take your skills to the next level, you really ought to attend meshU, enjoy the great speakers and network like-minded people.  We will be posting this year speakers over the coming weeks and months, but don’t wait to buy your ticket – meshU sold out last year and mesh tickets (which went on sale about two weeks ago) are already one third sold!  Go here and buy your meshU ticket now.
