A mesh Contest: Win A Chumby!

By mesh news

Chumby
With mesh looming on the horizon, we’ve got a number of exciting wrinkles to unveil.

To start, we’ve got a good old fashioned contest for mesh attendees. PlanetEye (the travel planning startup where I work) is giving away a chumby.

All you have to do is register for PlanetEye at www.planeteye.com/mesh to be eligible. You can enter the contest now or wait until mesh where you’ll get more information in the swag bags. The winner will be announced on the PlanetEye blog after mesh.

So what’s a chumby?

It’s a compact device that displays information from the Web: news, photos, music, weather, celebrity gossip, sports scores — using a wireless Internet connection. You can personalize a chumby by adding small applications (aka widgets). The chumby caused a stir in our office when it arrived, everyone wanted to see the touchscreen and squeeze-based interface in action.

mesh08 is Sold Out

By mesh news

Once again mesh has sold out early. That’s it, that’s all – we are done. The fire limit has been reached, the seats are full, there’s no more room at the inn.

We’d like to thank our our Sponsors – Microsoft, Edelman, ITAC, RBC, eBay, Expedia, CNW, MaRS, The Globe and Mail and social media group for their support and encouragement. Without your commitment we would not be able to bring such impressive content to the stage while keeping the entrance fees accessible. Thank you.

To those of you who didn’t get your tickets – we do have a couple of options for you.

First, meshU still has limited availability, so why not join us for that? It’s only one day and has some of the best “geek” content you will find anywhere – and the price can’t be beat.

Second, why not join us for some of the social meshing after-hours? Several of the events are open to everybody who’d like to come, so why not come on out? You can find those listed in the blog post just before this one.

Other than that, we look forward to seeing you at mesh09 (did I just write that?!?) – and I really suggest that you get your tickets early.
